Bhaktamara Stotra is a famous Jain Sanskrit prayer. It was composed by Acharya Manatunga (7th century CE). The name Bhaktamara comes from a combination of two Sanskrit names, "Bhakta" (Devotee) and "Amar" (Immortal).
It ensures success in all your endeavors and new beginnings. Good fortune is attained. When someone launches a new business or moves into a new home, chanting of this shlok invokes blessings upon the venture. It destroys the darkness of sin and ensures dawn of wisdom.
Although, one can chant the mantra at any time, if possible chant the mantras in the morning hours between 4:00-6:00 am, as this time is proven to be the most effective for healing. One can also chant in the evenings between 5:00-7:00 pm.
