There are no limits of time and place for devotion to God, and therefore, the recitation of the Bhaktamar Stotra can be done at any time and in any sacred place. However, in Indian tradition, and particularly in Jain philosophy, the Brahma Muhurta ( 4am to 7am) holds immense significance. Any recitation, meditation, or austerities performed during this time are infinitely fruitful, as the entire universe is brimming with positive energy during these early morning hours. Whenever you choose to recite the Bhaktamar Stotra, try to do so during Brahma Muhurta to fully harness this divine energy and bring about positive changes in your life.
To begin this sacred ritual, first select the shloka that aligns with your purpose. Between 4 AM and 7 AM, during Brahma Muhurta, take a bath and wear clean, light-colored clothes. Remember your “Isht Dev” , chant “Om” for 25 to 30 minutes and sit in a meditative state to calm your thoughts. Place the Yantra of the specific shloka or the Complete Bhaktamar Yantra in front of you. Light incense and Deepak to create a fragrant atmosphere. Then, recite the shloka in a soft and melodious tone with the same devotion as Acharya Mantunga Maharaj, repeating the shloka at least 27 times, 108 times for Riddhi, and 108 times for the mantra.
Additionally, the water used in the Abhishek (if done) should be applied by the ill person or the one performing the ritual on their forehead, eyes, throat, and navel. For at least 21 days, or until the desired objective is achieved, follow Uttam Bramhcharya and do tyagas such as Giving up of salt, additionally it is recommended to fo Ras Parityaga i.e to give up foods rich in taste such as milk, yogurt, ghee, salt, oil, and sweets. However, Ras Parityaga is not just about abstaining from flavorful foods; it’s about renouncing attachment to these tastes. Follow a lifestyle of non-violence (Ahinsa) and pure conduct (Shudh Aacharan), as this ritual is a spiritual remedy for both the soul and the body.
Through this divine ritual, you will achieve the purification of your mind, speech, and body, leading to happiness, peace, prosperity, joy, prestige, and maternal blessings in your life. As you embrace Lakshmi (the goddess of wealth and prosperity), this ritual will serve as a divine vehicle on your life’s journey, guiding you toward spiritual elevation and lasting positivity.
